The Operative Portion of the Division Bench Judgment/Order is as follows:

It is clear from the above judgments that the role of an informant or the private party is limited during the prosecution of a case in a Court of Session. The counsel engaged by him is required to act under the directions of the Public Prosecutor. The victim/de-facto complainant has the right to participate in the criminal proceedings, which includes right to be impleaded, right to know, right to be heard and right to assist the Court in pursuit of truth.

This right has been recognized by both the above judgments passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
